Abstract

KEKEMELERDE YAYGIN KEKEMELİK TUTUMLARININ KAYGI VEDEPRESYON DÜZEYLERİ AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİPsikolog Alev DUMANOĞLUYüksek Lisans Tezi, Psikiyatri Anabilim DalıTez Yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. Benal İNCEEREylül 2006, 88 sayfaBu çalışmada kekemelerin yaygın tutumları beş ana boyut altında incelenerek kekemelerindepresyon ve kaygı düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin saptanması amaçlanmıştır.Çalışma kapsamında Ege Üniversitesi Psikiyatri Ana Bilim Dalı Konuşma BozukluklarıBirimi'ne 2004-2005 yılları arasında başvuran DSM-IV ölçütlerine göre kekemelik tanısı almışbireylerden seçilen bir örneklem üzerinde anket uygulaması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmadadeneklerin depresyon düzeyi Beck Depresyon Envanteri ile; kaygı düzeyleri ise STAI ile ölçülmüştür.Elde edilen sonuçlara göre deneklerin depresyon düzeylerinin ?bedensel tepkiler? boyutundayer alan kekemelik davranışlarının sergilenmesi ile; durumluk kaygı düzeylerinin ise ?alternatif iletişimbiçimleri? boyutunda yer alan kekemelik davranışlarının sergilenmesi ile anlamlı düzeyde (p<0,05)ilişkili olduğu saptanmıştır. THE INVESTIGATION OF COMMON STUTTERING ATTITUDES IN RESPECT TOTHE LEVEL OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY IN STUTTERERSPsychologist Alev DUMANOĞLUMaster of Science Thesis in Department of PsychiatrySupervisor: Prof. Dr. Benal İNCEERSeptember 2006, 88 pagesThe investigation of common stuttering attitudes in five dimensions in respect to the level ofdepression and anxiety in stutterers is aimed to be studied in this research.A survey study has been accomplished on a group of people applied to the Speech PathologyUnit of Ege University through 2004 and 2005 and diagnosed as stutterers according to DSM V .Inthe research the depression level of the stutterers was assessed by BECK and the anxiety level wasassessed by STAI.Results show that the depression level of the stutterers is correlated with the dimension of`physical reactions ` and the state anxiety levels of the stutterers is correlated with the dimension of `alternative communication ways? of stuttering significantly (p<.05).
