Abstract

The experiment was conducted at the Centro the Cane Agronomic Institute of Campinas, located in the city of Ribeirão Preto, SP, to evaluate the tolerance of varieties of sugarcane to herbicides sprayed at post-emergence of culture and the residual effects on sunflower varieties. The first study was carried out was the randomized blocks, in subdivided parcels with 36 treatments and four replications. We used the varieties IACSP94-2094, IACSP94-2101, IACSP93-3046, IACSP94-4004, RB72454 and IAC 86-2480, allocated in plots. The herbicides were made by mixing ready to diuron (1170 g ha-1) + hexazinone (330 g ha-1), diuron (1865 g ha-1) + hexazinone (234 g ha-1), metribuzin, tebuthiuron and amicarbazone and a control, allocated in the sub-plots. The herbicides were applied on the straw come the harvest of sugarcane in pre-emergence of weeds and post-emergence of the original culture, and all the parcels held in the absence of weeds throughout the trial period. Were evaluated at 15, 30 and 60 DAA (days after application) symptoms of visual intoxication, on the total chlorophyll of fluorescence ratio of chlorophyll a. The height measures were done at 30, 60, 90 and 180 DAA and stand for 30, 90 and 180 DAA. To initial growth to 330 DAA were evaluate the diameter of the culms, the levels of brix, purity, pol, reducing sugars (AR)%, fiber% cane, sugar total recoverable (ATR) and production of culms (t ha- 1 ). The second study was conducted under controlled conditions (pots) with the soil collected in the arable layer, after prior treatment with the same herbicides used in the first experiment. The experimental design was completely randomized with 12 treatments in four replications in a factorial 2 x 6, and two varieties of sunflower (Uruguai and IAC Iarama), five herbicides and a control. The pots (750 ml) were filled with soil from... (Complete abstract click electronic access below)
