Abstract

In this work a methodology for load curves estimation in a daily basis for consumers connected to low-voltage power distribution networks is presented. Curve estimation is based on actual measurements and monthly energy consumption values supplied by electric utilities. Thus, by using the monthly energy consumption of a given consumer unit, it is possible to estimate its corresponding load curves. Then, aggregations are performed with these estimated load curves aimed at obtaining estimated curves for network transformers and for the feeder. The latter are compared to real measurements, carried out traditionally by utilities, obtaining a correction factor applied to each individual consumer curve in order to reduce the mismatches between real and estimated curves.
