This Project had, as its aim, evaluate the effectiveness of the application of thiametoxam in the sugarcane ratoon over the quality of the raw material and the development and productivity of thatches in fields treated with the ripeners glyphosate, ethyl-trinexapac and the sulfometuron-methyl. Eighteen experiments were carried out, started and conducted in 2008, 2009, 2010 e 2011, twelve in the beginning of crops and six in the end of crops These experiments were set up and carried out in the city of Olímpia, (SP), in a field that belongs to TEREOS GROUP (Guarani Plant – Cruz Alta Unit), in the city of Igaraçu do Tietê (SP) and in the city of Macatuba (SP), in fields that belong to the RAÍZEN GROUP (BarraP lant). The experimental delineation was done in blocks casualized with five repetitions. The experiments with glyphosate were constituted of the following treatments: thiametoxam control, glyphosate and glyphosate + thiametoxam. With trinexapaque-etílico, the treatments were: control, thiametoxam, trinexapaque-etílico e trinexapaque-etílico + thiametoxam. With sulfometuron-methyl, the treatments were: control, thiametoxam, sulfometuron-methyl and sulfometuron-methyl + thiametoxam. The used doses were, respectively: thiametoxam 100 g i.a. ha-1 (0,4 kg p.c. ha-1), glyphosate 192 g i.a. ha-1 (0,4 L p.c. ha-1), trinexapaque-etílico 200 g i.a. ha-1 (0,8 L p.c. ha-1) and sulfometuron-methyl 15 g i.a. ha-1 (20 g p.c. ha-1), active ingredients doses (comercial). O trabalho de pesquisa teve por objetivo avaliar a eficácia da aplicação de thiametoxam na soqueira da cana-de-açúcar, em áreas tratadas com os maturadores glifosato, trinexapaqueetílico e sulfameturon-metyl, sobre a qualidade da matéria prima e o desenvolvimento e a produtividade de colmos.Foram realizados dezoito experimentos, sendo 12 em início de safra e 6 em final de safra, iniciados e realizado durante os anos de 2008, 2009, 2010 e 2011. Esses experimentos foram instalados e conduzidos no município de Olímpia (SP), no município Igaraçu do Tietê (SP) e no município de Macatuba (SP). O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados com cinco repetições. Os experimentos foram constituídos dos seguintes tratamentos: controle (sem aplicação de maturador ou thiametoxam), thiametoxam, glifosato e glifosato + thiametoxam. Com trinexapaque-etílico, os tratamentos foram os seguintes: controle, thiametoxam, trinexapaque-etílico e trinexapaque-etílico + thiametoxam. As doses empregadas foram respectivamente: thiametoxam 100 g i.a. ha-1 (0,4 kg p.c. ha-1), glifosato 192 g i.a. ha-1 (0,4 L p.c. ha-1), trinexapaque-etílico 200 g i.a. ha-1 (0,8 L p.c. ha-1) e sulfometuron-methyl 15 g i.a. ha-1 (20 g p.c. ha-1), doses dos ingredientes ativos (comercial). Para os experimentos de inicio de safra foi utilizada a variedade de cana-de-açúcar RB855453 (maturação precoce); para os experimentos de final de safra foi utilizada a variedade SP 80-3280, caracterizada por ter maturação tardia; para a aplicação dos produtos, utilizou-se equipamento costal pressurizado (CO2) e para a aplicação de thiametoxam houve a aplicação por jato dirigido na linha da soqueira.
