Abstract

Estudo qualitativo que objetivou desenvolver um material didático digital voltado para o acolhimento inclusivo da criança com diabetes tipo 1 na escola sob a ótica das necessidades da comunidade escolar a partir do conhecimento de suas especificidades. Para identificar as necessidades da criança com diabetes tipo 1 na escola, foram realizados encontros focais com 20 participantes, sendo 8 cuidadores principais de crianças com diabetes tipo 1, 7 crianças com diabetes tipo 1, 1 adolescente com diabetes tipo 1 e 4 professores das crianças participantes do estudo. Por conseguinte, foi desenvolvido pela abordagem Design Thinking o produto educacional, uma animação digital (história de autoria) com foco na percepção da realidade sobre o dia a dia de uma criança com diabetes tipo 1 no ambiente escolar intitulada DIADIABETE’S - Bete vai à escola, destinada aos estudantes do ensino fundamental I pertencentes a sala de aula na qual a criança com diabetes tipo 1 está inserida e um Guia Orientacional, em formato pdf, para professores e equipe escolar. O produto educacional foi aplicado e validado com 47 estudantes e 2 professores de 2 turmas de 3º anos do ensino fundamental I, sendo 1 estudante com diabetes tipo 1. Os índices comparativos entre o questionário inicial e final demonstraram que o produto educacional se apresentou como um recurso facilitador de aprendizagem e de empatia sobre as especificidades da criança com diabetes tipo 1 no ambiente escolar, sendo o envolvimento ativo do professor essencial para que possa ser utilizado de forma efetiva.

Qualitative study which general objective of the research was to develop a digital teaching material aimed at the inclusive reception of children with type I diabetes at school from the perspective of the needs of the school community based on knowledge of its specificities. In order to identify the needs of the type 1 diabetic child at the school, focus group approach being chosen as a data collection technique with 20 participants, being 8 the main caregivers of the type I diabetes child, 7 elementary school students and 1 adolescent type I diabetes and 4 teachers of the children participating in the study. In this way, an educational product was developed using the Designer Thinking method, a digital animation (author story) entitled DIADIABETE'S - Bete goes to school, was created, focusing on the perception of reality, aimed at students in the classroom in which the type 1 diabetic student is inserted and an Orientation Guide, in pdf, was designed for teachers and school staff. The educational product was applied and validate with 47 students and 2 teachers in 2 classes of the 3rd year of the elementary school, being 1 type I diabetes student. The comparative indexes between the initial and final questionnaire demonstrated that the educational product presented itself as a resource that facilitates learning and empathy about the specificities of the DM1 child in the school environment, being the involvement of the teacher essential so that it can be used effectively in these places.
