Abstract

The research aims to explore and analyze the aspects of the entrepreneurial education in natural science areas. The research was focused to find out the proper content that can still neglected upon the specificities of each course. This content works in a way to guide the familiarization of the student and the professor to supply their needs in the path of the knowledge in entrepreneurship suitable for finding opportunities in innovation with involvement with student’s graduation area and respective scientific research projects. To meet this demand there is a need to grab the data that show the existing gaps in entrepreneurship teaching. For the accomplishment, the documentary research was made on the influences from the existing perceptions in national environment for entrepreneurship and innovation compared with other nations, as described in global development reports specifics for the subject. Added to the study of the info obtained from different documented institutional learning outcomes or guidelines from each course that structure the curriculum guide, syllabuses and alumni expectations. In a second moment, quali-quantitative research using a survey tool was made to describe the perception about entrepreneurship and innovation between students, researchers, and professors from different areas as well as the perception of local population from a city that has an educational institute with correlated courses. The theoretical background for the research was made with support from the social view inside the Norbert Elias bibliography and with the pedagogic discourse made by Basil Bernstein about the curricula. The results were discussed with the Content Analysis of Laurence Bardin (2009). In overall the results present the need of contextualization and recontextualization of the teaching of entrepreunership for students of non-business traditional courses. Thus, some contents were proposed to approximate the reality of knowledge and formation for the student commonly oriented to be a scientist for an entrepreneurial career, such as laws and fundraising aimed at their niche.
