Abstract

The research presents the professional initiation in Dance, in the context of the cultural management of the State of São Paulo, in the city of Barueri, through the paths taken and the implementation of the Initial and Continuing Training courses - FIC or Professional Qualification in Dance, developed by the Secretary of Culture and Tourism – SECULT, in partnership with Fundação Instituto Educação Barueri - FIEB, in 2016. The course was created with the aim of meeting the latent demand of the cultural sector that was, and still is, the realization of qualification courses professional for the area. This social demand stems from the work of young artists in a situation of social vulnerability, as monitors, workshop workers and social mediators, mainly in social art projects, in this case, working professionally in the field of dance without having training or professional initiation. The research seeks to identify whether the FIC Dance course promoted changes in the lives of these participants and, if so, what they were, in addition to presenting a reflection on the artistic and educational power of the course, in the case of a qualitative study of an exploratory nature. , which seeks information about a particular object, in this case, the FIC Dance Course. For this purpose, a survey of documents that did not have analytical treatment was carried out and testimonies were collected through the netnography of the participants and the professors of the course. These materials made it possible to interpret, establishing connections between the events, my active participation and reflection during and after the process, for future notes in view of adaptations for implementation in other municipalities. The main references that support the reflections presented here are Alfons Martinell Sempere (2011, 2016), Antônio Albino Canelas Rubim (2017), Corinta Maria Grizola Geraldi (1994), Isabel Marques (2010), José Márcio Barros (2013), Kathya Godoy (2011, 2013, 2016, 2020), Sérgio de Azevedo (2011) and Teixeira Coelho Netto (1997, 2008, 2011, 2016).
