Abstract

This work proposes the development of a short course in Astronomy using hybrid teaching. Part of this short course was prepared to be offered in the EaD modality, in which theoretical materials and online activities are offered, as well as video classes that students can access in alternative places and at times suitable for their routine. Also, experimental classes are offered that can take place in the classroom mode. Although the proposal is for a hybrid teaching, the application of this work occurred in a completely remote context, due to the social distance caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, showing, therefore, a versatility in terms of its application methodology. In this context, it can be said that the meetings with students can be either in person, following the original proposal of the educational product, as to the distance, as shown in this work, with the data collection presented. The purpose of this work is, therefore, to combine active methodologies to direct the short course, which, in turn, can be used by the Physics teacher to be applied in any high school grade. The application results of this work were satisfactory, given the circumstances of its application. The classes planned to be in person, and which took place remotely, did not affect the initial proposal, according to the conception of the participating students. With this, it can be said that the proposal of a short course for hybrid teaching of Astronomy can be developed in any environment and for various publics in high schools, or even for higher education.
