Abstract

O manjericão é uma planta popularmente conhecida por sua versatilidade, podendo ser utilizada para consumo in natura, em forma de salada, elaboração de molhos e consumo desidratado; ou para extração de óleo essencial, utilizado na aromaterapia e cosméticos. Uma prática para aumentar a produção do óleo é submeter a planta a algum estresse, podendo ser do tipo biótico, como ataque de pragas, fungos, bactérias, vírus e nematoides, ou abiótico como deficiência hídrica, nutricional ou salina, porém estes podem interferir negativamente no crescimento e produção da cultura, além de afetar seus processos fisiológicos. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos fisiológicos da aplicação de reguladores vegetais em plantas de manjericão submetidas à deficiência hídrica. O experimento foi conduzido em delineamento de blocos casualizados (DBC) em esquema fatorial 2 x 4, sendo plantas sem e com deficiência hídrica e cinco doses de Stimulate com quatro repetições cada. Para isso foram avaliados os efeitos do Stimulate, composto por ácido indolilbutírico (IBA) + GA3 + cinetina (Kt) utilizado nas doses de 0, 3, 6, 9 e 12 mL L-1, por meio de análise de crescimento, fluorescência da clorofila a, variáveis de trocas gasosas e análises bioquímicas. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que a utilização da mistura de reguladores vegetais foi capaz de atenuar os efeitos causados pela deficiência hídrica, sendo eles fisiológicos ou bioquímicos, uma vez que, plantas com deficiência hídrica apresentaram respostas significativas na maioria das avaliações realizadas. As maiores dosagens de 9 a 12 mL L-1 apresentaram melhores respostas para fluorescência da clorofila a, trocas gasosas e atividade de enzimas antioxidativas.

Basil is a plant popularly known for its versatility, and can be used for consumption in natura, in the form of salad, preparation of sauces and dehydrated consumption; or for the extraction of essential oil, used in aromatherapy and cosmetics. One practice to increase the oil production is to submit the plant to some stress, which can be biotic, such as pest, fungus, bacteria, virus, and nematode attack, or abiotic, such as water, nutrient, or salt deficiency, but these can negatively interfere in the growth and production of the crop, besides affecting its physiological processes. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the physiological effects of the application of plant regulators in basil plants submitted to water deficiency. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block design (BCT) in a 2 x 4 factorial scheme, with plants without and with water deficiency and five doses of Stimulate with four repetitions each. For this, the effects of Stimulate were evaluated, composed by indolylbutyric acid (IBA) + GA3 + kinetin (Kt) used in doses of 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12 mL L-1, through growth analysis, chlorophyll a fluorescence, gas exchange variables and biochemical analysis. The results obtained showed that the use of the mixture of plant regulators was able to attenuate the effects caused by water deficiency, whether physiological or biochemical, since plants with water deficiency showed significant responses in most of the evaluations performed. The higher dosages of 9 to 12 mL L-1 showed better responses for chlorophyll fluorescence a, gas exchange and activity of antioxidative enzymes.
