Abstract

A longevidade de sementes é definida como o período total que uma semente pode permanecer viável, quando armazenadas em condições ambientais favoráveis, para cada espécie. A partir desse ponto, inicia-se a deterioração, que pode ser retardada ou mantida numa velocidade mínima por condições ideais de colheita, secagem e armazenamento, numa tentativa de manter a qualidade tão próximo quanto possível do ponto mais alto atingido. A utilização de testes como condutividade elétrica, na avaliação da qualidade das sementes, agrega informações que permitem conhecer mais detalhes sobre o processo de envelhecimento e deterioração de sementes. Portanto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a influência da condutividade elétrica na obtenção da longevidade por diferentes funções de ligação. As sementes foram provenientes do município de Campo Alegre – GO na safra 2017/2018, foram realizados testes de germinação, teor de água, longevidade e condutividade elétrica. Os dados foram transformados pelas funções de Cauchy-SSF, Logit e Probit com ajustes realizados por regressão linear, o que permitiu a determinação do P50 para cada amostra, e posteriormente o P50 foi verificado para ver se estava incluso dentro do intervalo de interesse. Conclui-se que a cultivar 8473 RSF RR, mostrou longevidade superior que as outras cultivares dos lotes e que a função de Cauchy-SSF estimou o maior número de P50 das sementes avaliadas, apresentando superioridade na estimação. Entretanto, para as análises entre P10 ao P95 a função de Logit foi a que apresentou maior porcentagem de Pi dentro do intervalo esperado II (61%), mostrando melhoria de 8% quando comparados o antes e o após o ponto de redução da aceleração da condutividade elétrica.

Seed longevity is defined as the total period that a seed can remain viable, when stored under favorable environmental conditions, for each species. From that point onwards, deterioration begins, which can be slowed down or kept at a minimum speed by ideal conditions of harvesting, drying and storage, in an attempt to maintain quality as close as possible to the highest point reached. The use of tests such as electrical conductivity, in the evaluation of seed quality, adds information that allows knowing more details about the aging and deterioration process of seeds. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of electrical conductivity in obtaining longevity for different bonding functions. The seeds came from the municipality of Campo Alegre – GO in the 2017/2018 harvest, germination, water content, longevity and electrical conductivity tests were performed. Data were transformed by Cauchy-SSF, Logit and Probit functions with adjustments performed by linear regression, which allowed the determination of the P50 for each sample, and later the P50 was checked to see if it was included within the range of interest. It was concluded that the 8473 RSF RR cultivar showed superior longevity than the other cultivars of the lots and that the Cauchy-SSF function estimated the highest P50 number of the evaluated seeds, showing superiority in the estimation. However, for the analyzes between P10 and P95, the Logit function was the one that presented the highest percentage of Pi within the expected range II (61%), showing an 8% improvement when compared before and after the point of reduction of the acceleration of the Electric conductivity.
