Geomorfometria da região de Fartura (SP)

Abstract

Geomorfometry, also referred as digital terrain analysis and digital terrain modeling use of tools from the earth sciences, mathematics, engineering and computer science , to do a quantitative analysis of the relief. Thus, were used the SRTM Digital Elevation Models, produced to the same methodology and with almost global coverage, to promote the quantitative analysis of the relief in the region of Fartura (SP) considering the morphometric parameters: slope , aspect, plan curvature, profile curvature and morphotectonic lineaments. The field of study is between the parallels 22°30'S and 24°00'S and meridians 48°30'W e 50°30'W, completely inserted of the Paraná Sedimentary Basin, has geomorphological features complications due not only to set of structures that make up the Guapiara lineament, that crosses the área in NW-SE direction , but also by presenting a set of dikes , sills , rhyolitic and basaltic flows, which promote a peculiar modeling in relief. The morphometric indices evaluated showed the correlation of landscape with main structures directions NWSE and NE -SW and landforms influenced by basalt flows of the Paraná Magmatic Province and the Ponta Grossa Arch in geomorphological compartment Peripheral Depression, making this region loses the characteristic of legitimate depressed area. The analyzes also allowed to see the difference in the pattern of relief in the portions northern, central and southern, and differences in resistance to desiccation of the rocks
