Rigidez dos triângulos

Abstract

This work has the purpose to present a teaching method for use in Secondary School and High School, based on mathematical research via experimental activities, in order to awaken the interest of the students for understanding of specific math content, improve their learning and understanding of the need for mathematical demonstration. Questions to be answered during the development of experimental activities that take students to reflect, thus allowing them conclude on the existence of a triangle and its stiffness are proposed. In this method, the teacher has the role of mediator. The rigidity of the triangle is shown in two alternative ways, through a case of congruence and the law of cosines. Therefore, a description of the use of triangles since the early days of ancient history, aspects of the methodology of mathematical research, and experimental activities proposed theoretical framework is presented. The first results of implementing the proposal in the classroom were positive, with students of the ninth year of elementary school
