Abstract

Sound Art‟s support and projection in Spain began to be real from the sixties in twentieth century. The sponsorship coming from some foundations and institutions was finally principal for its diffusion. Cultural institutes played a key role to this work, contributing to an important progress in the task of spreading contemporary sound creation. The work developed by Instituto Francés, Instituto Alemán e Instituto Italiano increases with patronage provided by Fundación Juan March, promoting humanistic and scientific culture in Spain. This institution was the first in our country to have a specific library dedicated to twentieth-century music. The Fundación Juan March was also the first to bet economically for the benefit of these artistic manifestations
