Abstract

El presente trabajo estudia dos relaciones de sucesos impresas a principios del siglo XVII que versan sobre la visita del rey, Felipe IV, a diferentes reinados del estado español. La primera publicada en Sevilla en 1624 trata sobre la estancia del monarca en la ciudad de Córdoba, y la segunda impresa en Madrid en 1626 con motivo de otro viaje del soberano, esta vez a Barcelona. A través de la correcta transcripción de las mismas, se busca conocer todo el aparato festivo que se ponía en marcha para la bienvenida de la realeza, así como la consolidación del sistema absolutista constituido en plena Edad Moderna, reflejada en el lenguaje e intenciones de las relaciones. De esta forma, uno de los fines que persigue el análisis es hacer conocer al lector los primeros pasos de un periodismo oficial e ideológico que ha evolucionado pero del que se han mantenido rasgos que han llegado hasta nuestros días.
