Este artículo es una contribución al estudio histórico de los turdetanos, en la que analizamos las dos principales fuentes de conocimiento: la historiografía grecolatina y el registro ar-queológico. Concluimos que Turdetania y sus habitantes no constituyen una unidad étnica pues hay varios grupos étnicos que pueblan la región: bástulos, celtas y turdetanos. Tartesios, turdetanos y túrdulos sí conforman un mismo grupo étnico o incluso un conjunto de pueblos agrupados bajo una misma denominación *trt-.
This article is a contribution to the historical study of the Turdetans, where we analyze the two main sources of knowledge: Greco-latin Historiography and the archaeological record. We conclude that Turdetania and its inhabitants do not constitute an ethnic unit, since there are several ethnic groups in the region: the Bastules, the Celts, the Turdetans, whereas the Tartessians, the Turdetans, and the Turdules form the same ethnic group, or even a whole of peoples under the same denomination *trt-
