Ciberdemocracia y empoderamiento social. Notas para una crítica teórica

Abstract

The scattered and scant studies on new technologies, traditional in the Ibero-American Comunicology, and the adverse scientific policy of financing of studies oriented to a critical, social and humanistic vision of the use and social appropriation of the digital networks, from the point of impact on processes of empowerment, sustainability and local development, make necessary in the era of algorithm, scientific cooperation and intellectual effort to think and intervene in a field whose themes, methodological implications and social reach can be qualified, at least, of Cognitive Capitalism. In recent decades, the development of the digital revolution and the accelerated expansion of new telematic media have not only upset the cultural map of human communication systems. The scope of the changes underway associated with the development of new electronic information technologies includes a profound transformation of the system of organization of public life based on new guidelines, systems and cultures of information. In this framework, the forms of resistance and contradictions arising from the process of expanding competencies and the communication network and infrastructure require a greater effort of reflexivity from the processes constructed as a result of this structural transformation that introduces the Critical Theory. the digital revolution as, reflexively, about the function of criticism and the theoretical practice itself. In this text, we are going to try to think about an object that has hardly been explored despite the centrality or relevance that it has been acquiring in a very few years as an essay or construction on a work plan just in the process of being projected as part of the R & D that starts this year.
