Este artículo toma como objeto de estudio el portal de vídeo online YouTube, como aplicación en la que confluyen los intereses comerciales procedentes de las industrias audiovisuales y los de la propia empresa con el espíritu de colaboración en la generación de contenidos por parte de usuarios nacido con las posibilidades de la Web 2.0. Partiremos de una visión crítica con respecto a la posición protagonista que el portal aún atribuye al usuario, a partir del análisis de los vídeos de mayor popularidad dispuestos por el medio, que intentará confirmar la naturaleza de YouTube como red comercial principalmente.
This article studies the online video site YouTube, as an application that puts together commercial interests from the audiovisual industries, those from the company itself and a cooperative spirit in favour of user-generated content originated by the possibilities of the Web 2.0. We will take a critical view on the prominence that the site still attributes the user, from an analysis of the most watched videos arranged by the site that will try to confirm YouTube's nature as a mainly commercial network.
