Le Moyen Atlas nord-oriental se caractérise par des paysages kartisques hérités et actuels très diversifiés. En fait, les roches carbonatées du Jurassique, bien représentées dans cette région montagneuse, ont subi une karstification ancienne, depuis la fin du Tertiaire et au cours du Quaternaire. Actuallement, la karstogenèse est encore active en raison des conditions géologiques, morphostructurales et bioclimatiques favorables: couches de roches carbonatées inclinées et plissées, climat méditerranéen avec precipitations abondantes, etc. Pour toutes ces raisons, la région montre des systèmes karstiques diversifiés et étagés en fonction de l'altitude (Lapiez, dolines, poljés, vallées kartiques, grottes, cours d'eau souterrains, sources karstiques permanentes ou intermittentes...). Aprés présentation des types karstiques et leurs caractéristiques, nous discutons dans cet article le rôle du karst dans les drainages souterrain et superficiel des eaux et la distribution spatiale de cette ressource à l'echelle de la région d'étude. L'article insisté aussi sur l'importance de l'étude et de la mise en valeur de cette ressource pour son exploitation dans tout projet de développement local et touristique de la région.

The north oriental medium Atlas is characterised by very manifold inherited and actual karstic landscapes. In fact, calcareous rocks of the Jurassic, well represented in this hilly region had been subjected to an ancient kartification since the end of tertiary and during the Quaternary. Nowadays, the kartogenesis is still active owing to favourable geological conditions, morphostructurals and bioclimatic: life of carbonates rocks tipped up and pleated, climate quoted with abundant rainfall, etc. For all these reasons, the region shows manifold karstic systems and graduated according to altitude (Slurp, sinkholes, poljes, karstic valleys, caves, underground watercourses, permanted karstic sources of intermittences). After presenting the karstic types and their characteristics, the article will aim at discussing the role of the karts in underground and superficial draining waters and the space distribution of this resource on the scale of the studies region. This article also stresses the importance of studying these resources and their exploitation for the benefit of local development in the region.
