Abstract

Digitisation is therefore an absolute necessity today for public institutions seeking to compete with providers of information on the network and maintain its status as privileged instances in the provision of knowledge societies. This way, cultural institutions feel the need for the digitization of their collections, and to consider this technology a panacea for their problems in the management and dissemination of its wealth of documents, the continued appreciation of the sources that can be used in the field of teaching, learning, research, documentation, and management of the public management of data catalogs. This paper aims to move into the field of study in the digitization process of a traditional discipline, the history of communication and journalism, his immersion in the digital arena and, more specifically, the approach and exploitation by researchers from the numerous resources of the digitized newspaper archives that are proliferating on the Internet.
