Partiendo de la contundente contraposición establecida por el joven Nietzsche entre la cultura vitalista de la Grecia dionisíaca y la decadencia de la cultura moderna, se considera el modo en que la obra posterior trata de ir matizando dicha contraposición hasta ganar una concepción crítica e histórico-hermenéutica ("genealógica", diría Nietzsche) de las relaciones entre intelecto y voluntad, donde la corrección de la óptica teo-teleológica de la "historia universal" y la asunción de cierto "platonismo" como destino no conducen necesariamente a una metafísica invertida o peraltada, sino al ensayo de una posible nueva dietética del ingenio.
Starting from young Nietzsche's adamant contraposition between the Greek tragic dionysiac vitalist culture and the decadence of the modern culture, it is considered the way in which the later Nietzschean work attempts to spell out the above contraposition as to achieve both a critical and historical-hermeneutics conception of the relationship between intellect and will.
