In this paper the largest possible number of examples related with weights -balances and pondera- has been included, whether found in excavations or not. The weights registered are usually, with few exceptions, made of bronze. Also included are the two dished balances of Greek influence, and those of pre-Roman and Roman use, the staterae, some of singular elegance and others of exceptional originality, also the accompanying aequipondia that complemented them, and, finally, the exagia of late antiquity.
