Authors: Rojas Vaca, María Dolores;

Abstract

Approach to the public notary of Jerez de la Frontera in the 16th century, starting, in particular, from the information provided by the Chapter Acts and the notarial protocols of the city. The study is carried out in its institutional aspect and, preferably, from the point of view of the documents of the practice without disregarding the legal framework. It addresses issues such as personal and technical entry requirements, number of practicing notaries, appointment and official and private access routes, as well as place and circumstances of work with the relevant casuistry.
