The main objective of this Master's Thesis is to reflect on the ideological factors that determinee the possibilities and the acceptability of a non-binary language in Spanish. To this end, a reflective framework has been created that allows us to think about ideological realities. We also develop a critique of the binary ideology of sex gender with the aim of demonstrating that it is neither a natural nor a universal conception, as well as of clarifying the negative consequences of enacting it. Subsequently, we have dealt with the relationship between ideology and language to shed light on how binary ideology is perpetuated as hegemonic, preventing the acceptance of linguistic uses which are necessary for the experience, recognition and communication of non-binary experiences.
