Sistema Power To Gas

Authors: Ortiz Pérez, Manuel;

Sistema Power To Gas

Abstract

The realization of this project includes both the analysis of the current situation corresponding to the investigation of the potential viability of Power to Gas technology based on tests and trials, as well as the possible evolution and development of said technology for the short and long-term future. Firstly, the basis of our analysis will be laid by introducing the characteristics of the capital raw material in this technology, hydrogen; understanding as such its obtaining, transformation, application and storage, including its advantages and contributed properties. After this, the methodology and the development of the formation and production of the technology will be presented, including the technical aspects that include the addiction in the gas network, in addition to the current situation in terms of prototypes and real tests, both national and international. With this, first evaluations will be reached on where to focus and exploit the technology, that is, we talk about places, infrastructures, storage etc. Obtaining first advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of the technology. Next, the legal field will be addressed, from the most basic regulations to the creation of a common regulation at a european level, due to the existence of several differences of criteria regarding percentages of hydrogen injected in each country, maintenance, quality levels, safety standards etc. Therefore, in the final section devoted to conclusions, an argued approach to posible solutions to this legal issue will be made. Subsequently, having analyzed the first results, the possible ambition is developed that will help to continue advancing in said technology; also focusing on its advantages to reduce pollution, in which the role of companies will be essential. We then analyse the possible expected impact, both technological and economic, including for the latter a breakdown of costs and benefits in all aspects. Finally, the conclusions obtained after the analysis of the study of this project will be presented, dealing with all the mentioned aspects and prioritizing the immediate advantages of P2G technology.
