“El-Kavlü’s-Sedid fî İlmi’t-Tecvid” ile “Tuhfetü’l-Etfal” isimli tecvid eserlerinin usul ve muhteva yönünden karşılaştırılması

Abstract

The science of tajweed and variant readingsof Qur’an, which started with the revelation process of the Qur'an, was transmitted from generation to generation in a lively manner in the Qur'an's recitation orally in the early periods. Later, in the period after the second half of the third century of Hijra, both verse (first) and prose works began to be produced in this field. This study is based on the prose al-Qawlu's-sedîd fî İlmi't-Tejvîd written by Mr. Mehmed Zihni, one of the last period Ottoman scholars, and the verse Tuhfetu'l-etfâl, written by the Egyptian scholar Suleyman el-Jemzûrî presents the evaluation and comparison of the two tajweed works. In the introduction part of the study, after the prior information about the science of tajweed, the lifes of the authors, all the works they wrote and their scientific personalities are discussed respectively. After prior information about the tajweed copyright tradition in verse and prose, all tajweed issues that the works touched on have been evaluated in the context of the basic tajweed works. In addition, the source works that both works benefited from were tried to be determined. In the last part, after the mutual evaluation of the works in terms of method, the subjects these both works handled differently from each other were discussed. Afterwards, the common themes of both works were compared and the tajweed subjects these both works did not deal with were touched upon, and the study was completed by evaluating the sources that the works benefited from.
