Nikaia'dan Yeni Yazıtlar III

Nikaia'dan Yeni Yazıtlar III

Abstract

This article presents 21 new funerary inscriptions found in the vicinity of the districts of Geyve and Tarakli in the Province of Sakarya, and Gölpazarı in the Province of Bilecik, during surveys conducted respectively in 2010 and 2012. All the inscriptions came from this area, which in Roman imperial times formed a part of the eastern territory of Nicaea. These new texts include numerous anthroponyms, which underscores cultural richness of this region.
