Abstract

Bu makale, Recep ivedik'e ekonomi politik açıdan yaklaşmakta ve bir popüler kültür kahramanının ticari bir ürüne ve bir tüketim nesnesine dönüştürülmesinin izini sürmektedir. Recep İvedik olayı, günümü/ Türkiye'sindeki medya yapılanmalarını, araçlar arası ve sektörler arası bağıntıları, medya ürünlerinin üretim, dağıtım ve tüketim süreçlerini gözlemlememize yarayacak zengin bir malzeme sunmaktadır. Çalışmada, tiplemenin televizyon, sinema ve reklam mecraları üzerindeki yolculuğu bu açıdan değerlendirilmiştir. Kuramsal çerçeveyi çizen literatür, güncel verileri sunan makale ve söyleşiler, Recep İvedik filmlerinin yapım ve senaryo ekibi ile gerçekleştirilen görüşmeler araştırma kaynakçasını oluşturmaktadır.

This article takes Recep İvedik as a case of political econmy and traces the transformation process of a pop culture icon to a commodity and an object of consumption. The Recep İvedik case offers a rich variety of data, enabling us to observe and understand modern-day media structures, inter-media and inter-sectoral relations, and the production, distribution and consumption mechanisms of media products. The hero's travel across different media, such as television, cinema and advertisements is examined within this context. The research is based upon a literature survey comprising keytheoretical work, data collected from current articles and media interviews, and also from personal interviews with the sector.
