Abstract

Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de ekonomik kriz dönemlerinde basılı yayıncılık yapan işletmelerin yaşadığı sıkıntılar ve geçirdikleri yapısal dönüşümlere odaklanılmıştır. Genel olarak yayıncılık pratiklerinin değiştiği ve yeni bir medya yapısının kurulduğu günümüzde yayıncılık yapan işletmelerin en büyük sorunlarından bir tanesi fonksiyonlarını tam yerine getiren bir finansal düzen kuramamaları ve sağlıklı bir gelir modeli oluşturamamalarıdır. Bu durum ise yalnızca geleneksel yayıncılık yapan basılı yayın işletmeleri değil aynı zamanda yeni yayıncılık yapan işletmeleri de bir değişime zorlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda kriz dönemleri ise işletmeler içerisinde değişime sebebiyet veren veyahut değişim sinyallerini veren önemli zaman dilimleridir. Bu dönemlerde işletmelerin ekonomik faaliyetlerinin uygulanabilirliği, sürdürülebilirliği ve işletmenin girdiği çıkmazlar rahatlıkla tespit edilebilmekte ve örgütsel öğrenme gerçekleştirilmektedir. Özetle bu çalışmada Türkiye’de basılı yayıncılık yapan işletmeler ekonomik kriz dönemlerindeki değişim ve dönüşümleri tarihsel bir perspektiften incelenmiş ve bu doğrultuda yeni dönem yayıncılık anlayışını benimseyen işletmeler için çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur.

This research focused on structural transformation and distress in the printed publishing during the economic crisis in Turkey. In today's world where publishing practices have been changed and established new media orders. One of the biggest problems of publishing companies is that they cannot authorize a financial order that fully fulfills their functions and cannot create a sustainable income model. This situation forces not only the traditional publishing companies but also the new publishing companies to a change. In this context, crisis periods are significant periods that cause changes within businesses or give signals of change. During economic crises, the applicability and sustainability of the financial activities can easily recognize and the deadlocks of those activities can be determined. Hereby, organizational learning can accomplish. In brief, in this research, the publishing companies in Turkey were examined from a historical perspective. The changes and transformations of the companies during the economic crisis were determined. Further, the implications of those were examined to how may be adopted by the new era of publishing companies.
