Davranışsal finans

Abstract

A very big part of economy and finance policies are based on the assumption that people behave rationally and take into consideration all data during the process of decision making. So many economic and financial policies and models have been set up within this frame for many years. However, recent research has showed that people do not always behave in a rational way, therefore financial models do not fully reflect the real market. At this point, behavioral finance has filled in the gap by developing the assumptions which assume people are ?normal? instead of ?rational?, and which say that investors take into account not only risk and profit but also other variables to make decisions. These decisions not only maximize value but also seek to satisfy a decision maker in the best way possible. It is believed that behavioral finance, with the support of psychology and other social sciences related with human behaviour, will largely enlighten the hypothesis of effective markets as well as the anomalies in financial markets such as bubbles and collapses.
