Abstract

Türk sinemasında din ögesinin nasıl kullanıldıgı ve dindar kitlenin, süreç içindesinema algısında meydana gelen degisimleri ortaya koymaya çalıstıgımız bu çalısmada,ulastıgımız bulguları, özet olarak su sekilde ifade etmek mümkündür: Türk sinemasındadin ögesi, dönem dönem çesitli nitelikte ve yogunlukta kullanılmıstır. Cumhuriyetin ilkyıllarında sinemamızda etkili olan Tiyatrocular Dönemi'nde, eski sosyal ve siyasaldüzeni temsil eden diger olgularla beraber kullanılan ve genellikle olumsuz olarak elealınan din ögesi, Hazretli Filmler Akımı'nda, daha çok ticari amaçlarla olmak üzere,beyaz perdenin en fazla itibar ettigi unsur haline gelmistir. Daha sonra ortaya çıkanMilli Sinema Akımı ise, din ögesini, dini-politik-ideolojik bir baglamda ele almıs vedindar çevreden önemli bir seyirci destegi almıstır. Günümüzde ise din olgusu, farklıkesimlerden gelen yönetmenlerin, eski dönemlerde görülen ticari ve teblig amaçlıkullanımların ötesinde, sanatsal yaklasımlarla ele aldıkları bir olgu haline gelmis,sıklıkla ve bazı eski dönemlere nazaran daha olumlu olarak kullanılır olmustur.Dindar kitle, ilk dönemlerde günah olabilecegi nedeniyle sinemaya mesafelidurmus, sonra ise sinemaya ilgisi artmıs ve tepkilerini genel olarak sinema sanatınadegil, bazı film veya bazı sahnelere yöneltmistir. Hazretli Filmlerle sinemaya daha fazlayaklasan ama bu filmlerin, dini anlayıs ve uygulamaları yansıtmaktaki yetersizliklerinedeniyle tam olarak tatmin olmayan dindar seyirci, sinemaya girisinde diniduyarlılıklar olan Milli Sinema Akımı'na dahil yönetmenlerin filmleriyle, sinemayıdaha fazla içsellestirmistir. Bugün ise farklı kesim ve anlayıslara mensup yönetmenlerindin ile ilgili filmleri, dindar kesim tarafından ilgiyle takip edilmektedir.

The present study aims to delineate how the religion element has been used inthe Turkish Cinema and how the perception of religious masses pertaining to cinemachanged during the course. Findings can be summarized as follows; from period toperiod religion element has been used in various features and intensity. During the earlyyears of the Republic which was under the effect of the Period of Theater Actors, it hasbeen used in the negative sense like the other themes that symbolized the previoussocial and political order. But with the Trend of Hagiographic Movies, because ofcommercial concerns religion has become the most applied element. Later with theemergence of the National Cinema Period (Milli Sinema Akımı), it has been dealt in areligious-political and ideological context. Nowadays, contrary to previous commercialand missionary-oriented concerns, religion has become an element which was appliedwith artistic approaches by different directors of various backgrounds.Although the religious masses put a distance to the cinema viewing it as a sin,later showed an increased interest in cinema as an art, and directed their criticismstoward some specific movies and scenes. The religious cinemagoers who were attractedto the cinema with the emergence of Hagiographic Movies were nevertheless not totallysatisfied because of their inadequacies in reflecting religious understanding andpractices. They internalized the cinema much more with the movies of the directorsfrom the Trend of National Cinema who involved in the sector because of their religioussensitivities. Today movies addressing religion by directors of different backgroundsand understandings have been followed with interest by religious masses.
