Abstract

Bu kent sosyolojisi doktora tezi; kentsel esitsizlik konusunu toplumsal cinsiyet perspektifiyleele almaktadır. Tez, zaman cografyası yanı sıra toplumsal cinsiyet ve kentle ilgili farklıdisiplinlerin katkısını da alarak; farklı kentsel gruplar için mekansal esitsizligin toplumsalcinsiyet açısından farklılık gösterdigini ortaya koymaktadır. Tezde niteliksel yaklasımlagerçeklestirilen bir saha arastırması kapsamında; toplumsal cinsiyet iliskilerinin degisimi ilemekansal form ve süreçlerin degisimi arasındaki iliskiye dair bulgular sunulmaktadır. Kentselesitsizlik, sınıf ve toplumsal cinsiyet eksenleri ve bu eksenlerin kesisimi baglamındaincelenmektedir.

The aim of this thesis is to contribute to clarify urban inequality by gender perspective. Thedebate of thesis is in urban sociology with the contribution of time geography and relateddisciplines concerned with urban and gender issues. It also seeks to highlight the significance ofintersection gender and class. A field research with qualitative metod of the thesis shows thereare differences in urban groups for urban inequality according to gender.
