Abstract

SUMMARY In my thesis, where the Aegean and its importance in Greece-Turkey Relations were analysed, matters which between Greece and Turkey about the Aegean Sea, thoughts and politics of Greece and Turkey about the Aegean, glance angle of the International Law about these problems, solution methods and cooperation potential of the Aegean Subjects were appraised, Of course, during appraising of these matters, Historical background is very important, when facts and events were analysed, obvious Historical beginning and chronology were followed, During the matters, which in between Greece and Turkey in the Aegean, appraising, were defini ted in framework of the International Law, Glance angles of Greece and Turkey about the Aegean appraising in comparative express i on »Decision s of the International Law were given a special importance about the subjects. During appraising the source points of matters, opinions of sides and solution methods, was acted by an objective approach continually, If looked to diagnosis of the thesis; In matters between Greece and Turkey about the Aegean Issue, both of coutries have a different policies about the glance angles and solution of matters. The condition makes difficult to solution by a negative influence, National and the International benefits and politicies and strategies, which according to the benefits, cause the state, Although, there are approach disparities in solution of matters, solving to problems between Greece and Turkey about the Aegean Sea, according to the International Law and in framework of justice will provide to open more cooperation opportunities and the big cooperation potential in the Aegean will revive as a productive between twoVII coutries. Solution of matters will, make a. contribution to regional stability.Both of coutries are member of* the NATO, Greece is member of the EU and Turkey is a candidate coutry for full membership. This condition is increased to sense, importance and worth of solution, I want to emphasize that, although didn/ t give a details and analyse in this thesis, Cyprus and the West Thrace Issues, which are delicate between Greece and Turkey, have a relation by the Aegean Case, So, solution of the matters which about the Aegean will make a positive contribution to solution of problems about Cyprus and the West Thrace Issues too. I want to expound that, Solution of matters about the Aegean is an obligation, by its worthy contributions to providing a trust between two countries, progress of cooperation opportunities as quantity and quality, solution to other problems, getting strong to stability of region and the World.
