Mistik tecrübenin pek çok teorik ve pratik açıklaması büyük ve köklü felsefi geleneklerce yapılagelmiştir. Başta Yeni-Eflatuncu felsefi gelenek bu mevzuda derin tahlillere yer vermiştir. Bu geleneğin zirve ismi olan İbn Sina ise mistik tecrübenin ve mistisizmin en ciddi ve ileri çözümlemelerini yapmıştır. Bu bağlamda Hint mistisizmi, Zerdüştlük ve Grek felsefelerinin büyük düşünürlerinin görüşleri, İbn Sina'nın mistisizme dair açıklamalarının temellerini oluşturmuşlardır. Bunun yanı sıra yöntemlerin belirginleştiği ve bütünleştiği bir dönemi önceleyen bir düşünür olarak İbn Sina, kendi terminolojisiyle pek çok yöntemi açıklayabilmiştir. Buna göre İbn Sina'nın düşünce dünyası ve görüşlerinin, kendisinden sonraki tüm dönemleri ve zümreleri etkilediğini söyleyebiliriz. İbn Sina'nın içinde bulunduğu tarihsel ve sosyo-psikolojik arka plan onu mistik tecrübelerin açıklamasına yöneltmiştir. İbn Sina'nın, eserlerinde müşahede yöntemine zemin hazırlayan pek çok görüş, ifade ve kurguları vardır. Kendisinden sonra gelen özellikle İslam tasavvufunun teorisyenleri de bu görüşlerden pek çok yönde etkilenmişlerdir. Bu çalışmada İbn Sina'daki haliyle `Müşahede` yönteminin teorik zemininin tartışılması ve genel sistem içerisinde nereye konumlandığının belirlenmesine, bunu yaparken de mistisizm ile olan karşılıklı kesişme noktalarının da açığa çıkarılmasına gayret edilmiştir.

Many theoretical and practical explanations of mystical experience have come from great and deep-rooted philosophical traditions. In particular, the Neo-Plato philosophical tradition included deep analyzes in this matter. Ibn Sina, the peak name of this tradition, made the most serious and advanced analyzes of mystical experience and mysticism. In this context, the views of the great thinkers of Indian mysticism, Zoroastrianism and Greek philosophies formed the basis of Ibn Sina's explanations of mysticism. Besides, as a thinker who preceded a period in which methods became prominent and integrated, Ibn Sina could explain many methods with his own terminology. Accordingly, we can say that Ibn Sina's world of thought and views affected all periods and groups after him. Ibn Sina's historical and socio-psychological background led him to the explanation of mystical experiences. Ibn Sina has many views, expressions and fictions that pave the way for `Witnessing` in his works. The theoreticians of Islamic Sufism, who came after him, were also influenced in many ways by these views. In this study, it has been endeavored to discuss the theoretical basis of `Witnessing` method and determine where it is located in the general system as it is in Ibn Sina. In doing so, the intersection points with mysticism were also revealed.
