Abstract

Teknolojik gelişmelerle güncellenen bilgisayar destekli tasarım ve üretim sistemleri, endüstriyel cam üretimini şekillendirmekle birlikte, sanatçılar tarafından sanatsal cam üretimine de dahil edilmekte, yenilikçi ve yaratıcı kullanım potansiyelleri keşfedilmektedir. Bu çalışmada cam sanatçılarının dijital üretim yöntemlerini kullanım biçimleri ve nedenleri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Cam şekillendirme yöntemleri ve CAD/CAM sistemlerinin endüstriyel cam tasarımı ve üretiminde kullanım biçimleri, cam sanatçılarının üretim pratiklerinin anlaşılması bakımından önemli görülmüş ve tez çalışmasının içeriğine dahil edilmiştir. Sanatçı pratikleri üzerinden, CAD/CAM sistemlerinin yenilikçi ve yaratıcı kullanım biçimleri ortaya konmuş ve bu sistemlerin teknik ve yaratıcı anlamda sanat üretimine sunduğu katkılar açıklanmıştır.

Computer-aided design and production systems, which are updated with technological developments, shape the production of industrial glass, but are also included in the artistic glass production by the artists and innovative and creative potentials of these systems are discovered. In this study, it is tried to put forward the reasons and the ways of glass artists' usage of digital production methods. Glass forming methods and the usage of CAD / CAM systems in industrial glass design and production were considered important in terms of understanding the production practices of glass artists and included in the content of the thesis. Innovative and creative ways of using CAD / CAM systems are introduced through artist practices and their contributions to art production in technical and creative terms are explained.
