Statik germe şiddeti ve süresinin kas viskoelastik özellikleri ve propriosepsiyon üzerine akut etkileri

Abstract

Objective: To compare the acute effects of different duration and intensity of static stretching exercises (SSE) on the viscoelastic properties (VP) of the hamstring muscle and the knee proprioception (KP).Materials and Methods: The study included 216 healthy adults aged 18-45 years who were evaluated in Delta Hospital. Participants were randomly divided into 6 groups with 2 different stretching times (30 sec, 60 sec), 3 different intensity (50%, 75%, 100%). Hamstring muscles on the dominant side of the participants were performed to 3 times SSE. The VP of the hamstring muscles and KP were evaluated before and immediately after stretching. Results: It was seen that the different duration and intensity of the SSE increased the tonus and stiffness of biceps femoris ve semitendinosus muscles (p<0,05), decreased the relaxation and creep (p<0,05), and did not create a significant difference in the elasticity (p>0,05). There was no statistically significant difference between groups. Also there was no significant difference in 20° and 45° DP after SSE (p>0,05).Conclusions: SSE vary significantly in duration and intensity of the hamstring muscle in terms of VP, but these changes were not significant for each other. Muscle VP and KP values were not correlated with each other in the acute phase. We think that in group changes in VP are due to fascial tissue. Keywords: Static stretching, stiffness, proprioception, healthy adults
