Ferra’nın Meani’l-Kur’an adlı eseri bağlamında mushaf ve mushaf imlası olgusu

Abstract

The first stage in the historical process of multiplying the copies of Qur’an - the Mushaf History- is comprised of the first copies -mushafs- known as Mesāhif-i Uthmaniyye, the mushafs by Uthman. These mushafs have always been at the core of diligent research because of the importance they carry in the field of Mushaf History. The studies that focused on the mushaf differences and the orthograpic characteriscs in these mushafs have established the basis of Mushaf literature. However, most literature in relation to these early texts has failed to be transferred to our times. Thus, any information found in early texts pertaining to mushaf differences and the orthograpic characteriscs has significant value. One such work is Maāni’l-Qur’ān by Farra. The academic interest in the aforementioned issues of Farra is obvious in that historical records indicate a study exclusively devoted to the mushaf differences in the mushafs by Uthman that failed to be passed down. This current study on Maāni’l-Qur’ān strives to delve deeper into understanding the opinion of Farra regarding the issues of mushaf and its orthograpic characteriscs as well as to bring out any information on these topics in the early texts and literature.

Hz. Osman zamanında yürütülen istinsah faaliyeti çerçevesinde Kur’ân’ın iki kapak arasına alınmasıyla başlayan Mushaf tarihi sürecinin ilk aşamasını Mesâhif-i Osmaniyye (Osman Mushafları) olarak anılan ilk Kur’ân nüshaları oluşturmaktadır.
