Yahudilerin Siyonizm karşıtlığı

Abstract

Zionism, the founding ideology of the State of Israel declared in Palestine in 1948, has encountered severe opposition not only from non-Jews, but also from a number of Jews as well. Zionism, which initially emerged as a minority ideology, has been adopted by most of the Jews over time. However, the Six-Day War, in which Israel occupied the territories of neighboring countries, has become a new turning point in terms of Jewish opposition to Zionism, and anti-Zionist voices have gradually risen up until today on the grounds of Israel's aggressive policies towards Lebanon and Palestine in the following years.Today, Zionism is still an ideology adopted by the vast majority of Jews. Nevertheless, the number of Jews, who question this ideology and the state it brought about, has been ever increasing. With both religious and secular dimensions from a historical perspective, this study explains the Jewish opposition to Zionism, which has a great deal of importance with regards to its decisiveness on the future of Israel in particular, and the Israel/Palestine issue in general.Key Words : Zionism, Anti-Zionism, Jews, Opposition to Zionism, Israel.
