Fatih semti ve çevresindeki Mimar Sinan mescitleri

Abstract

Bu mescitlerin on yedisi günümüze ulaşabilmiştir.

16th century has left its mark in history as a time period of the golden age of art and architecture. In this period the peak of the Ottoman classical period of the work is also given and there is no doubt that the most important architect is Mimar Sinan.Thirty-four of the mesjid in Istanbul borders made by Mimar Sinan is located in the Fatih district. Only seventeen of them able to survived. The mesjid that unable to survive are land area today however some of these locations could be detected. It is a known fact that many domestic and foreign researchers prepared publications related to the work of arts of Mimar Sinan. However significant portions of the published research are all about the large-scale work of art of Mimar Sinan. For example, when the researchers are working on the Selimiye Mosque or the Süleymaniye Mosque can reach a large number of sources, on the other hand, the resources are very limited when working on modest work or arts. That can be considered, throughout history people attracted more attention to large-scale structure thus that makes possible to keep original character of the work of arts. Relatively small structures, such as mesjids, look like not lucky that much Fatih neighborhood and near-by Mimar Sinan mesjids are subjected in our research and survived Mimar Sinan mesjids were analyzed by making comparisons.
