Abstract

Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri edinimi, bireyin sosyal ilişkileri ve sosyal gözlemleriyle gerçekleşmektedir. Sosyal ilişkilerin ve gözlemlerin en yoğun olduğu zaman dilimlerinden biri, bireyin eğitim-öğretim hayatıdır. Bu dönemde birey, rollerin ediniminde, kimi zaman öğretmenlerini gözlemler kimi zaman ise çeşitli kaynaklar tarafından kendisine sunulan örnekleri benimser. Bu durum, derslerde kullanılan her türlü materyal ile birlikte, ders kitaplarının da titiz bir biçimde hazırlanmasını ve kontrolünü gerekli kılmaktadır. Türkçe dersi bir ana dili dersidir. Dile özgü birçok ifade, toplumsal rollere ilişkin kalıp sözler en çok bu derste ele alınmaktadır. Diğer derslerde araç olarak kullanılan birçok ifade ve anlatım biçimi, Türkçe derslerinin asıl malzemesidir. Çünkü dersin amaçlarından biri, anlamı belirsiz veya örtülü olarak algılanan ifadelere ışık tutmaktır. Buna dilde kendisine çeşitli biçimlerde karşılık bulan toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri de dâhildir. Ortaokul döneminde, yaş düzeyleri, fiziksel ve biyolojik gelişimleri bakımından ergenlik döneminde bulunan öğrenciler, cinsiyete ilişkin farklılıklar ve kalıplarla bu dönemde sık sık karşılaşmaktadırlar. Bu araştırmada, ortaokul dönemi Türkçe ders kitaplarında sunulan cinsiyet ifadeleri ve toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri incelenmiştir. Kitaplar, her sınıf düzeyi için öğretmen kılavuz kitabı, ders kitabı ve öğrenci çalışma kitabı olarak ayrı ayrı değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada metinlerle birlikte görsel unsurlar ve etkinlikler de ele alınmıştır. Sonuç olarak; Türkçe ders kitaplarında, toplumsal cinsiyet açısından özellikle yakın geçmişe oranla daha duyarlı bir yaklaşımın sergilendiği ancak bu durumun henüz yeterlilik kazanmadığı yargısına varılmıştır.

Acquisition of gender roles, a person's social relationships and social observations are performed. Observation of social relations and one of the most intense period of time, is the period of a person's education. During this period, students sometimes observe teachers and sometimes the examples presented to them by the textbooks are adopted. In this case, any kind of material used in lessons and textbooks should be prepared in a manner sensitive. Turkish language course is a main course. Many language-specific expression patterns related to social roles are discussed in this course promises the most. Turkish courses, other courses are in use as a means of expression and the many forms of expression are used as the main material. Because one of the goals of the course, which is perceived as ambiguous expressed or implied, is to shed light on. This provision in the language itself in various forms, including gender roles is found. During secondary school age levels, in terms of physical and biological development during adolescence the students with gender differences and patterns are often encounter during this period.In this study, secondary school textbooks in the period of Turkish courses offered were examined gender expression and gender roles. Resource books for each grade level teachers' manuals, textbooks and student workbooks are evaluated separately. In this study, the visual elements with text and activities are also discussed. As a result; Turkish lessons in textbooks, compared to the recent past in relation to gender are presented in a more sensitive approach, but this is not yet sufficient.
