El-qıraa, which refers to the different readings of words and statements in the Quran, is more related to grammatical issues, although it basically is a phenomenon that is made possible by the undotted script which has no vowel points. This issue has been discussed in detail by many early linguists. One of them is Ebû Zekeriyyâ Yahyâ b. Ziyâd el-Ferrâ who was a Kufean linguist and grammarian. Our purpose in this study is examination of grammatical explanations of Qıraas by Ferrâ in his work which he named Tefsîru Müşkili İ?râbi?l-Kur?ân ve Meânîhi and became famous as Meânî?l-Kur?ân, and original reading styles proposed by him stating that ?Reading it in that way would also be correct from the perspective of Arabic? in the context of Surah al-Baqara.
