Abstract

Product Certification, Conformity

As a result of globalization, the concepts of standardizationand certification have emerged with the understanding of producing quality products in the increasing intense competition within world market. This, in turn, resulted in producers’ demands for Certificate of Conformity for their products. It is also the same in Pvc Windows, one of the sectors in which evaluations of products are often conducted. Thus, there exists a need for an accredited body which is responsible for certification. Besides, the Certificates of Conformity (RAL, CE, or a body’s own certificate) given by the official certification bodies, which act as TSE, are crucial. However, while conducting certification studies, different processes have appeared. The objective of the present study is to examine the process of product certification in Pvc Windowsthoroughly. With the aims of strengthening the study and making the results comprehensible, interviews were conducted with the authorities of the leader accredited bodies in this sector such as Ift Rosenheim and Standard BM Trada.
