Due to the economic distresses being experienced recently our establishments are in a struggle. What they need the most in this struggle is financial support. Due to economic troubles in our country production in textile and confection industry are gradually decreasing. A leasing application has been put forward in textile sector with this study. Objective of Financial Leasing Law that regulates the leasing legislation in our country is to provide financial opportunities to investors. The idea underlying leasing is acquiring the right of usage of property rather that purchasing the property. A drop in interest in demand to leasing has been experienced after making an increase in the VAT rate. However, when compared with the other financing methods leasing has once again obtained a high portion from the investment demands.

Son dönemlerde yaşanan ekonomik sıkıntılardan dolayı işletmelerimiz bir mücadele içindedirler. Bu mücadelede de en çok ihtiyacı mali desteğe duymaktadırlar. Ekonomik sıkıntılar sebebiyle ülkemizde tekstil ve konfeksiyon sanayisinde üretim giderek düşmektedir. Bu çalışma ile tekstil sektöründe yapılan bir leasing uygulaması ortaya konulmuştur. Ülkemizde leasing mevzuatını düzenleyen Finansal Kiralama Kanunu'nun amacı yatırım sahiplerine finansal fırsatlar sağlamaktır. Leasingin temelinde yatan düşünce malın satın alınmasından çok onun kullanım hakkının elde edilmesidir. Leasinge olan talepte KDV oranının yükseltilmesinden sonra bir düşüş yaşandığı görülmüştür. Ancak diğer finanslama yöntemleri ile karşılaştırıldığında leasing yine yatırım taleplerinden yüksek pay elde etmektedir.
