Abstract

Kimyasal enerjiyi mekanik enerjiye çevirerek mekanik güç üreten dizel motorlarının son yıllardaki teknolojik gelişmelere bağlı olarak kullanım alanları ve sayıları hızla artmaktadır. Dizel motorlarının performanslarının arttırılması, çevreye attıkları zararlı gazların azaltılması ve çevre dostu alternatif yakıtların kullanılması günümüzde önem kazanmış araştırma konularıdır. Bu konulardaki eğitim gereklerini karşılamak ve bilimsel araştırmalar yapmak için güvenilir bir dizel motoru test düzeneğine ihtiyaç vardır. Bu çalışmada, bilimsel araştırma ve eğitimlere imkân sağlayacak, bilgisayar kontrollü bir dizel motoru test ünitesi kurulması amaçlanmıştır.Laboratuar, gürültü ve yaralanma riskini en aza indirmek ve motor odasına girmeden kontrolleri ve ölçümleri yapmak için, motor ve kontrol odası olarak iki bölmeye ayrılmıştır. Dizel motor odasındaki tek silindirli dizel motoruna yerleştirilmiş sensörlerden gelen analog ve sayısal sinyaller, kontrol odasındaki veri toplama kartlı bilgisayar ve Labview'de hazırlanan arayüz sayesinde dijital ortamda grafik ve görsel olarak işlenmekte, gösterilmekte ve kayıt edilmektedir. Labview yazılımının ölçme ve veri toplama özelliklerinin yanı sıra, güçlü arayüz hazırlama ve genel amaçlı algoritma oluşturma özelliği kullanılarak çok esnek ve kolayca değiştirilebilen bir ölçme ve otomasyon sistemi oluşturulmuştur. Kuruluşu tamamlanan bilgisayar kontrollü dizel motoru test düzeneği değişik koşullar altında denenmiş ve yapılacak eğitim ve araştırmalar için güvenilir olarak kullanılabileceği gösterilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Dizel motor test, Bilgisayar kontrollü test, Ölçme, Labview, Veri toplama

The usage areas and numbers of diesel engines which convert chemical energy to mechanical energy have been rapidly increasing; depending on the development of technology nowadays. Increasing diesel engine performance, decreasing released toxic gases and making use of environmental friendly alternative fuels are the important research areas. Therefore, a reliable diesel engine test unit is necessary to provide education requirements and to conduct scientific research. In this study, a computer controlled diesel engine test unit has been established.The laboratory was separated into two rooms, as engine and control rooms to decrease noise and risk of injury as well as to control and make measurements without being in the engine room. Analog and digital control and measurement signals supplied by sensors and actuators in the engine room were processed by the graphical user interface prepared using Labview® and logged by transferring signals from the engine room to a computer mounted a data acquisition card in the control room. In addition to Labview?s measurement and data acquisition abilities, flexible and motivating automation system which enables to add new controls and measurements was established using powerful features of Labview?s general purpose algorithm and graphical interface. The established test unit was tested in different conditions and its reliability to use for education and research was proved.Keywords: Diesel Engine Test, Computer Controlled Test, Measurement, Labview, Data Acquisition
