Eşanlı panel veri modelleri ve bir uygulama

Abstract

Anahtar kelimeler: Eşanlı denklem sistemleri, Eşanlı panel veri modelleri, Sabit etki, Rassal etki, Hata bileşenleri modeli, IS modeli,

When a single-equation is not enough to explain an economic relation or when there is a two-way flow of influence among economic variables simultaneous equation models are used. In this thesis parameter estimation and hypothesis testing is investigated when we have a simultaneous equation models. For this purpose firstly panel data estimation methods and tests which are used in panel data models and then simultaneous panel data estimations techniques are explained. The relationship between saving and investment is examined with 17 OECD countries between the period 1972 2004 using simultaneous panel data methods. To show the difference between classic simultaneous parameter estimation techniques and simultaneous panel data parameter estimation techniques the model is estimated both methods. It is shown that simultaneous panel data estimation techniques are better than classic methods.Key words: Simultaneous equation systems, simultaneous panel data models, fixed effect, random effect, error component models, IS model
