The concepts of identity and alienation awakened by the first publication ofMarx?s Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts dated 1844 in 1927, at the beginningof 20th century, whereby alienation was deeply analyzed, is now more loudly uttered in?Global World? which eliminates the significance of the concept of nation-state,opening the doors of a new age of empire for us and dominated by ?Digital Capitalism?in favor of unrestricted trade. The originating points of this study include the rapid change in human identityespecially resulting from the events which occurred in the last century; differentidentities and structures imposed through miscellaneous means of pressure in lieu of thecore identity which is actually desired and expected; and the consequence as analienated, isolated individual and society, converted into a part of the whole, andprovoked in the end.Unfamiliar phenomena such as continuous work and competition, and hostilitytowards other people at a similar status, cause divergence of human from his identity, being harsh even to himself in this work and competition environment, delaying hismost basic / natural needs due to work ethics, and considering others as a ?mass? ofopponents and enemies. As a result of being minimized, human becomes much morealienated against the entire system. The type of alienation observed in today?s societies which we call as the age ofadvanced industry, Micro Electronics-aided ?Digital Capitalism? has beendifferentiated, appearing as an alienation in communication, moral and humanrelationships rather than a corporeal alienation. For the aforementioned reasons, theconcepts of alienation and alienated identity of individual have recently become point ofdiscussion even in western countries which are regarded as prosperity societies with awell-balanced distribution of income between the lower and upper classes, and whichdo not have economic concerns.
