500 büyük sanayi kuruluşunun panel veri yöntemiyle analizi

Abstract

PANEL DATA ANALYSIS 500 GREATEST INDUSTRIAL FIRMS IN TURKEY In this study, the factors that effect the level of employment in big industrial firms of Turkey are analysed. In the analysis, average employment levels of big industrial firms are gathered and effects of exports, production, profitablity and capital structure are searched on these figures. In the study, data from the annually published survey of ICC (İstanbul Chamber of Commerce), 500 Greatest Industrial Corporations of Turkey, are utilized. Primarily the data is tabulated into a balanced panel and afterwrds, panel stationary tests are applied to the resulting data set. The results of panel VAR analysis, a combination of panel data approach and VAR method, has implied that average employment level of big industrial firms in Turkey is not effected by production, profitabilitiy, exports and sales from production and the main determinant of employment level is profits from irrelevant activities.
