Abstract

< 30 > CONCLUSION A research has been made in order to determine the introduction and marketing problems of the dread disease cover. Interviewing has been used for obtaining the data required. The people to be interviewed are the managers of the leading Turkish Insurance Companies which have produced 97.807 % of the total premium income. The results show that the managers of the leading companies appreciated an additional benefit with the coverage of the core diseases which is limited to a certain amount. The majority of the managers state that it is not the appropriate time to introduce the cover to The Turkish market. They suggest certain reasons for this; One of the important problems lies on the technical basis. It is nearly impossible to form realistic premiums with the statistics available in Turkey. Foreign statistics will not also reflect the Turkish realities. A more important problem is that life insurance is not widely known in Turkey. Also this product has a small target market which consists of upper class people that is infact a little part of the whole population. Also there is not a big sales potential. The majority of the managers say that much more time is needed in order to sell this product and also the market is not ready for such a product. When life insurance is spread around the country, there will be the need of product variation and then this product will be of value they say. 1 A f»SMl«il& OTWJLtJ BflB6SlâSSmSS6N MERKEZİ
