Türk Halk Edebiyatında Deli Dumrul ve Dünya Kültüründeki Benzerleri

Abstract

Türk kültürünün en önemli eserlerinden olan Dede Korkut Kitabı’ndaki hikâyeler, masal, efsane, türkü olarak sözlü kültürde de yaşamıştır. Bu yazıda, Dede korkut Kitabı’nın en dikkati çeken bölümlerinden Deli Dumrul’un hem sözlü kültürde, farklı türlerde işlenen varyantları hem de Hint, Sümer, Yunan kültüründeki benzerleri ele alınmıştır. Kendi canının yerine başkasının canını önerme temasının merkezi öneme sahip olduğu bu hikâyeye, Anadolu, Balkanlar, Orta Asya’da derlenen efsane, masal, türkülerde de rastlanır. Yazıda konu, şahıs, olay örgüsü gibi farklılıklar üzerinde durulur. Yunan mitolojisindeki Alkestis, Hint mitolojisinde Savitri, Sümer mitolojisindeki İnanna ile bağlantılı, kendi canının yerine başkasını bulma temasının Deli Dumrul’da işlenen temayla farklılığı vurgulanır. Bazı sosyal olay ve durumların, çeşitli toplumlarda, insan beyninin çalışmasının aynı olması sebebiyle böyle benzerlikler oluşturabileceği belirtilir.
