The essay deals with the valorization of the figure of Carlo Crivelli, the great Venetian painter active in the second half of the 15th century in the Marche region, whose work underwent massive alterations, dismemberments and dispersions between the late 1700s and the first thirty years of the 1800s. After retracing the initiatives, which started with the 1961 Venetian exhibition dedicated to "Crivelli e i Crivelleschi," up to the Crivelleschi itineraries and the initiatives organized in 1995-1997 in celebration of the 500th anniversary of his death, new proposals are formulated, both born out of the dissemination of the most recent studies and related to the use of technologies, with particular interest in the role of specialized research in dissemination as well.

Il saggio si occupa della valorizzazione della figura di Carlo Crivelli, il grande pittore veneziano attivo nella seconda metà del '400 nelle Marche, la cui opera è stata oggetto di una massiccia opera di alterazioni, smembramenti e dispersioni fra la fine del '700 e i primi trent'anni dell'800. Dopo aver ripercorso le iniziative, partite con la mostra veneziana del 1961 dedicata a "Crivelli e i crivelleschi" fino agli itinerari crivelleschi e alle iniziative organizzate nel 1995-1997 a celebrazione dei 500 anni della morte, si formulano nuove proposte, sia nate dalla divulgazione degli studi più recenti, sia connesse all'uso delle tecnologie, con particolare interesse per il ruolo della ricerca specialistica anche nella divulgazione.
