Design generativo e additive manufacturing. La produzione in serie di prodotti unici.

Design generativo e additive manufacturing. La produzione in serie di prodotti unici.

Abstract

The additive manufacturing processes allow to directly turn a code of a virtual model into a physical object managing the elaboration of complex forms for the production of products in a completely different way if compared to the traditional processes involved. This contribution starts with an introduction on the concepts of model and simulation as intended in the context of generative processes, and a description of the transformation occurred in the project philosophy as a consequence of the use of new production systems. The core of the research is aimed at going into the parametric design process in more depth through a range of case studies, focusing on how it will make the production of a new kind of unique products possible considering it as linked to additive manufacturing technical methods.
